What is hypnosis?
Hypnosis is a very normal, natural state that most of us
experience every day. You may recall driving your car down the street and
not remembering that you passed the last three streets. Maybe you even
missed your exit! Or watching television with such focus that you did not
even hear another person enter the room and speak to you. These examples
of light hypnosis occur when the conscious part of your mind is distracted
and the subconscious part of your mind takes over.
During a hypnotic session, an individual will achieve a deep and
successful state of hypnosis as the hypnotherapist gives suggestions for
the subconscious mind to accept and act on in positive ways.
